Absolute Best Grilled Steak , Lobster, Potatoes
Ingredients:
Potatoes:
- Large Russet Potatoes
- Olive Oil
- Sea Salt (can sub regular salt)
- Aluminum Foil
- A CAJUN LIFE All Purpose Cajun Seasoning
- Butter
- Garnishes of choice (we used bacon bits, cheddar cheese, and sour cream)
Steak:
- Steak of Choice (we used New York Strip)
- Melted Butter
- A CAJUN LIFE All Purpose Cajun Seasoning
- A CAJUN LIFE Blackening Rub
- Meat Thermometer (optional but important)
Lobster:
- Large Shell on Lobster Tails
- Olive Oil
- A CAJUN LIFE All Purpose Cajun Seasoning (can also use A CAJUN LIFE Seafood Rub)
- Butter
Directions:
Potatoes
- Pre-Heat Grill to medium high
- Puncture holes all around potato using knife or fork
- Place on sheet of Aluminum Foil large enough to wrap potato in
- Coat in Olive Oil
- Sprinkle Sea Salt all Around potato
- Wrap in aluminum foil
- Place on top rack of grill and cook for approx. 45 minutes to an hour or until soft to touch
- Remove from grill
- Slice top all the way through to bottom without cutting bottom
- Squeeze ends together
- Add butter and A CAJUN LIFE All Purpose Cajun Seasoning plus any additional optional garnishments
- Skins can (and should) be eaten.. they are delicious
Steak (with sear burner)
- 20 minutes prior to grilling, remove from fridge to bring to room temp
- Coat one side with A CAJUN LIFE All Purpose Seasoning
- Flip, then coat other side with A CAJUN LIFE Blackening Rub
- Turn sear burner to high for 2-3 minutes then reduce to medium heat
- Turn regular burners to medium heat
- Place steaks on sear burner for 1-2 minutes per side
- Remove and place on regular side of grill
- Cook until desired doneness (temp chart below)
- Medium takes approx. 5 minutes per side (meat thermometer works best)
- Remove from grill
- Let rest for 5 minutes (do not skip)
- Coat with melted butter just prior to serving

Lobster
- Preheat Grill to medium
- Cut top of shell down center
- Use knife to slice through to bottom without cutting bottom of shell
- Coat in Olive Oil
- Sprinkle with A CAJUN LIFE All Purpose Cajun Seasoning
- Flatten tail using hands
- In microwave, melt butter mixed with A CAJUN LIFE All Purpose Cajun Seasoning (or sub A CAJUN LIFE Seafood Rub for a more lemon style flavor) in 20 second increments until melted and blended
- Place Lobster tail topside down on grill
- Cook approx. 5 minutes
- Flip
- Pour melted butter mixture over tail/s
- Cook additional 4-5 minutes
- Lobster is cooked when internal temp is 135 F and/or opaque
