Boiled Blue Crabs



  • 2 bags of A Cajun Life Seafood Boil
  • Frozen Corn on cob or fresh shucked
  • 1/2 cup Vinegar
  • 1/2 cup Lemon Juice
  • Approx 10 oz liquid Crab Boil
  • Potatoes
  • 2-3 Bags of Ice
  • 18 #1 Blue Crabs


  • Place all Crabs on Ice until in "hibernation" and not mobile
  • Fill large pot with enough water to cover crabs (about 1/3 - 1/2 pot full)
  • Add 1- 1/2 bags of A Cajun Life Seafood Boil and Liquid Boil to water
  • Bring water to boil
  • While waiting for water to boil, pull top shell off crabs (see video below) and clean inside
  • Once water is boiling, Add potatoes and boil for 10 minutes or so while completing de-shelling
  • Add crabs and corn to boiling water
  • Once water comes back to a boil, turn heat off
  • Add ice to water and let soak for about 1-2 minutes
  • Remove crabs, corn, and potatoes from pot and place in ice chest
  • Combine Vinegar and Lemon Juice and add to ice chest
  • Sprinkle with additional 1/2 bag A Cajun Life Seafood Boil
  • Close ice chest and shake to coat
  • Eat promptly to prevent over cooking
