Fried Shrimp Po Boys

  • 1 Package A Cajun Life® Fish Fry (available below)
  • 1 - 2 lbs peeled and de-veined Shrimp
  • French Bread
  • Tarter Sauce
  • Lettuce (chopped/shredded)
  • Tomato (sliced)
  • Butter
  • Vegetable Oil

In a large cast iron pot or pan, add oil and bring to 350 degrees. In the meantime, rinse shrimp in cold water, add approximately 1 cup of 
A Cajun Life® Fish Fry to a storage bag, add shrimp and shake until fully coated. (Can add more fish fry breading as needed until fully coated). Carefully add breaded shrimp to hot oil and cook until golden brown and internal temperature of 145 or higher. While shrimp cooks, butter inside of french bread and broil until slightly toasted then garnish with Tarter sauce, lettuce and tomato. Once shrimp are fully cooked, place on paper towels to remove excess oil then layer into prepared and garnished french bread. Slice in 2 and Enjoy!

Optional: add sliced cheddar cheese, mayo, or other garnishments of your choosing.
